Our Equality and Diversity Policy
As a family business Elmbronze Ltd - trading as Totally Herby of Scotland - has the luxury of having our equality and diversity policy controlled from the top down.
We build this policy into our every activity, with buyers, customers and anyone else we interact with in our business activity.
- Aims
- We are open to all and aim to have an atmosphere of respect for each other,
to treat every customer, buyer, supplier or other people we have contact with equally,
regardless of their age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity,
race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
- Accessibility
- Though we don't have our own shops, our websites are built strictly to W3C standards which means they should be accessible
also to those with any vision impairment or using text to speech converters, older web browsers or mobiles.
We have clear sound telephones, and would go the extra mile to communicate with anyone having difficulty hearing or understanding us.
We are committed to ensuring accessibility and will reassess our access facilities to meet any new needs or activities.
- Diversity
- Our business is open to all, regardless of sex, religion, ability or beliefs. As a small business employment would also be open to all.
We should be open to new ideas, and changing social environments.
- Inclusion and respect
- All our customers and suppliers should be made to feel equally welcome to do business with us with respect and inclusion.
Sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic or otherwise offensive and inflammatory remarks and behaviour are not acceptable.
These constitute harassment, and have no place in our business or our workplace.
- Dealing with discrimination and harassment
- If any customer, supplier or employee feels they have been discriminated against by us,
or harassed in any way, they should raise this with the company.
This is a non-stop policy, we consider all these parts to be totally interdependent, and will review them as needed.
